DEUTSCHLAND TV,RADIO,AND PRESS, HANGING IN COLOGNE AND 99 LUFT BALLOONS
OOOOOOHHHH JET LAG.
We got on a plane this morning in Hamburg and flew to Cologne and the fun started right away . Some of the questions are very funny but the interviews are going well. Today is fairly short and we can see the ancient cathederal in cologne from this hotel interview room. Very old.......
We are doing this TV show tommorow all day so that will be a beatin'. But man the memories I have of this town . We did a TV show here in Cologne years ago and I sh#t you not they had a robot that ran around and waved its arms around and talked in a real high voice in German and ,truthfully, it was as funny as hell.....We were waiting for the car yesterday in Hamburg and the German record company dude says . See that guy in the leather coat over there ? And I say which one ! Just kidding....and he says he wrote and produced the song 99 luft baloons .and I am like, are you freakin kidding me ...I love that song I want to meet him but he got away before we could stop him ......that would have MADE my most perfect German adventure.
So I will let you know how the TV show goes tommorow . It is fun and strange to do TV in a foreign language . We did a TV show in Sweden one time and none of us could ever figure out what they were on about ...And there for a while every country had a David Letterman rip off show ...really ,you know a host with a caustic wit and a band with a wisecracking leader .
I better go get my drum because we are off to do some radio which is always fun to do....
