FRIDAY THE 13TH , MANCHESTER MUSEUM , AND GREAT GLASGOW VENUE

Man .....I never thought myself superstitious but what a day Friday was . First Isaak and I went to do a radio show and I should have known right then that it was Friday the 13th . I mean everything that could have gone wrong did . I wont bore you with the technical but usually when you do a radio show most things generally work but on Friday everything was not working . Then......we are doing the show and right in the middle of "wicked game " the crowd starts shouting and waving their hands in the air . Now the cruelest trick is the splitter went out so we on stage could still hear chris' voice but the signal split to the house was off/broken. So we didnt think anything was wrong . ohhh man . The crew are running around like mad men switching microphones but remember we could hear the mike working but the audience couldnt !!!!!
So Chris is like switching to Hershel's mic and it sounds wierd ......and right in Wicked Game , mind you . Finally they get it fixed and we end "Wicked game " and Chris has like 3 microphones in front of him . And he starts talking on one mic and a woman in the audience goes ...."We quite like the other microphone" ! And Isaak goes " Hey lady this isnt the Pepsi challenge"!!
Anywho quite a show . Funny thing is it made the audience even more on our side ! They were cheering every time the microphone would work . Even the opening band Joe Purdy told me the crowd was really with us on the problem . And oh by the way this Joe Purdy guy is real good so you guys should check him out .
Before the show Isaak, Rafael and myself went on a stroll and discovered the manchester Museum next door . And brother did they have a lot of cool stuff .they had a lot of mummies , crossbows , stuffed animals and all of this booty that the british drug back to Manchester from all over the globe . I turned to Rafael and said have you noticed that a lot of this stuff was donated from Sir Somethingorother in like, 1824, when the Britains owned the seas . Looks like they just waltzed in to wherever and said " Yeah we will just be taking these mummies off of your hands and dragging them back to Manchester"
Interesting place though. Isaak and I marveled at the riveted solid iron staircases ......
Last night we played at the Clyde Auditorium in Glasgow and we all agreed that it was one of the best sounding rooms any of us had ever played .....that makes it a lot of fun to play ....
Anywho I have to pack and go to Dublin . Like we always say " a one hour plane trip takes all day "
